You can't wear police clothes under cosmetics and just say "Oh I had it on,but it's under my cosmetics".You think a police officer could just run around in cosmetics saying he's on duty?Having your uniform on is a sign that you are a cop and on duty.It also helps differentiate between who's the cop and who's the civilian when someone is being arrested,countered and etc.
